Psychedelic shaman

As part of a longer course, I was tasked to create a sort of a shaman-like type character and then decline him into different skin-lines. The theme was quite open and I chose to revisit the aesthetics of 70s sci-fi and psychedelic fantasy (I drew a lot of inspiration from Moebius and old sci-fi comics for this character).
-----------------
The skin-lines were: "Cyber shogun" which is meant to be a take on the cybernetic + Japanese aesthetics. I tried to avoid the whole cyberpunk-samurai thing and go with more of "Old japan but with firearm" like we can see in princess Mononoke which I personally find really interesting.
-----------------
The second skin is "Rust shaman" and is inspired by post-apocalyptic fantasy. I imagined it to be a mix between Mad max and native American animist culture/tribes.

Huge thanks to Boell Oyino for his precious feedbacks during the project !

For these explorations, I tried to see what elements of Native american culture could be translated into a post-apocalyptic world.

For these explorations, I tried to see what elements of Japanese culture could be translated into a cyber/more sci-fi world. I tried to be very careful with the samurai elements as I know it's quite overused and I didn't want to feel too trope-y.
